JOHN TATNELL — Supervisor Workshop, Cabinet Maker
John Tatnell was born in Manurewa, Auckland. At the age of four he and his family moved north to the tiny Maori settlement of Pukepoto. His rural lifestyle lead to his love of all things natural, particularly wood.
In late 1994 John had the opportunity to work part time at Ancient Kauri Kingdom, where he is still employed today. Relishing the challenge of woodworking with such old wood John has become a very talented cabinetmaker. He has honed his skills and is now supervisor of the workshop, passing on his knowledge to his talented team.
“I will only accept the highest quality in workmanship to ensure an outstanding finished product”.
John also has a wonderful talent of making furniture from the most basic sketch. Cabinetry and furniture made by John are now in many houses throughout the world, something he is very proud of.
